Salome Celestial Baroque Painted Iridescent Fairy Wings with Gold Veins

This celestial themed set of Salome fairy wings has been made in blue and gold on an iridescent Lilac film base with gold veins, and feature a baroque style flourish embellishment at the base of the wings in a gold finish. The flourish embellishments were sculpted from scratch by me from my own design, molded and then cast in a polyester thermoplastic that is biodegradable in the soil, so they are environmentally friendly! Though I would hope they won't be buried anytime soon!
The colored pattern on the film I painted digitally, by hand with a Wacom tablet after studying various butterfly and insect wings for inspiration. Swarovski Aurora Borealis crystals, some of them star shaped, have been scattered along the wing panels and the upper tips of the wings have gold foil accents. Most of the crystals are placed in front, and are transparent so they actually sparkle through the back as well. 

These measure about 39 inches wide roughly at the widest point and are constructed of two separate upper and lower panels, layered slightly for a more realistic look. Though the aluminum frames are bendable, I suggest keeping bending to a minimum with these as the gold flourish embellishment is a little bit more rigid than the frames and due to the slightly uneven surface of the wing panels they are glued onto, you may risk losing some adhesion if bent in that area. I have pre-bent them a little at the base for you so they are not just sticking straight out to either side. 
There are even resin rhinestones decorating the embellishment right at the base but I realized a bit late they don't really show when wearing them.

They are only slightly heavier than a usual set of painted wings but are still only about 12 ounces.

The frame is constructed of a .040" thick cut aluminum sheet that has been powder coated with a gold color for the veins, and laminated with an iridescent film and clear vinyl.
